I was also a member of the Class of '67, who was taught by Mike. I walked to school (not particularly far) and occasionally in the dead of winter, he would pick me up and give me a ride the last few blocks as he was commuting in that blue sedan from Williamsport. He actually had a turntable wired into the dashboard so he could listen to LPs while he drove. He was also active in Scouting and spent at least one weekend enabling several of the Class members to camp at Sinoquipe, a Scout outdoor enclave in Pennsylvania. He also arranged to transport some other classmates from Hagerstown to Sinoquipe for a dance on the Saturday evening. I remember him as direct, no-nonsense, and fair. He was the sole male member of the faculty for most of the time he taught at St. Maria Goretti. Kathy, my sincere condolences. May he rest in peace.

I was a member of the Class of 1967 at St. Maria Goretti High School in Hagerstown, Md, where Mr Sheerer taught History among other things. He taught me to drive and also gave me an excellent sense of history in my daily life.
