Obituary for Joseph J. Horvath

Joseph J.  Horvath
Joseph James Horvath, 84, of Bethlehem, entered eternal life on August 21, 2017. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley (Frank) Horvath with whom he shared 58 years of marriage until her passing in 2014. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Joseph and Veronica (Olexa) Horvath. He served in the U. S. Army and worked at Bethlehem Steel. Later he worked as a sorter for the U. S. Postal Service for 30 years retiring in 1997. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Bethlehem.

Survivors: He is survived by his son, Joseph F. Horvath (Elizabeth) of Bethlehem; daughter, Virginia Horvath-Hontz (William) of Hanover Twp.; sister, Angela Glosan of Hellertown; 5 grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren and 4 G.G. Grandchildren.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, August 26, 2017, from 10-11:00 A.M.; followed by a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center Street, Bethlehem. Burial of Ashes will be private at the convenience of the family in the memorial garden of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joseph, may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 44 E. Market Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018
