Obituary for Jeanette M. "Antoinette" Anders-Gehris

Jeanette M. Anders Gehris It is with a very heavy heart the family of Jeanette Gehris announces her passing on Sunday, August 12, 2018, just one day prior to celebrating her 98th birthday. However, she got to celebrate with her late son, "Bud", who passed on May 5, 2018, her late husband, 3 sisters and 2 brothers and plenty of friends. She was the oldest of six.
Born in Cooke County Chicago, she was a daughter of the late John and Rose (Stancato) Basilone. Mom, Gram, GG and GGG was a loving soul. To know her was to love her. She had a heart of gold that matched her fine attire, manicured nails and beautiful white hair. Wherever mom went she was complimented.
She retired from Durkee Famous Foods, from the spice department, after returning back after her 4th child was born. Back in the day you would always find Jeanette in the kitchen cooking one of her delicious meals or perhaps baking one of her specialties, her famous cheese custard. Mom loved her dancing and was a special fan of Frank Sinatra. She also did alot of traveling. She traveled all over the U.S. plus abroad, and made sure she came home with a souvenir for all.
Living in Bethlehem since a young girl, she resided with her daughter, Juel and son in law, Bryan, for the past 16 years.
Surviving her is her son Bill Anders(Terri) of Englewood, FL; daughters, Tye Greenberg of Chandler, AZ; Juel Schreiter (Bryan) of Hereford, PA;daughter in law, Fran (Bud's wife) of Port Charlotte, FL; 8 grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandsons and her favorite pal her grandkit C2, along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Anders and; second husband, C. Dale Gehris and son in law Richard Ament. Mom was the matriarch of our family and will be missed dearly. Family was everything to her. To whoever read this and is saddened or shed a tear, mom would say "What's all the fuss, I am an old lady that lived a wonderful life."
