Couldn't Get Another

Although I only met Geri once, it was a great pleasure.  Geri was frequently mentioned whenever we spoke to her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Bob. We were at a 5th birthday party for one of Geri's great granddaughters, Lydia, at Blue Valley Bowling in Wind Gap, PA this past March. Geri was wheelchair bound, and not able to get around the way so many of us take for granted. And yet she maintained a cheerful composure, and was fun to talk to. At one point in our conversation, I teased her. I told her that I was going to the bar to get a beer and I asked her if she would like another one. The look on her face was priceless, as she immediately jumped to tell me that she hadn't even had one, and so "another" would be impossible. At that moment, when she realized that I was putting her on, we both laughed SO hard. The twinkle in her eyes, and her smiling dimples made my day. I won't forget her smile that day. We're sending all of our love and condolences to Donna & Bob as you honor her life.
