Obituary for John E. "Jack" Davish

John E. "Jack" Davish
John "Jack" Davish, 64, of Center Valley, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Patricia "Patti" (Cunnane) Davish. They would have celebrated 31 years of marriage in September. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Francis X. and Beatrice (White) Davish. Jack grew up in Ridley Park and Ocean City, and resided in Center Valley for the last 24 years.

Jack was an avid boater and spent many summers on the Chesapeake and Delaware Bays, as well as the Jersey Shore. He turned his passion into a successful career of working with boats, motors and cars for 45 years. He brought joy and laughter to all around him, always charming and quick with a joke.

At the time of his diagnosis, Jack decided to live life on his terms. He enjoyed his time remaining to the fullest, visiting Florida, Hilton Head, Ocean City, Cleveland, and most importantly, walking his daughter down the isle in Boulder, CO.

Survivors:In addition to his wife, he is survived by his cherished daughters, Lindsey Parrinello (Eric) of Ashland, OR; Courtney Davish of Burlington, VT; brother, Francis X. Davish, Jr. (Penny) of Marmora, NJ; sisters, Claire Duzy (Stanley) of Ocean City, NJ; Maryann McAfee (James) of Seaville, NJ; Karyn Davish of Vineland, NJ; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Johnston.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 28th, at 11:00 a.m. in Assumption of The BVM Catholic Church, 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem, where friends may call from 10-10:50 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St., Bethlehem, PA. Condolences may be left at www.jamesfuneralhome.org

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, a contribution in Jack’s name, to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
