Obituary for Mae Marie Wachter

Mae Marie  Wachter
Mae Marie Wachter, 65, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully in the home of her son Michael on June 25, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Robert A. Wachter Sr. and together they shared over 36 years of marriage. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Florence (Ruhe) Shannon. She was a childcare worker in the Bethlehem Area School District for over 20 years before retiring. She also had worked for Blough Nursing Home and Cedarbrook Annex and was the friendly voice who answered the phone for RJM Tree Service which her son's operated. She was a former menber of Christ Lutheran Church, Freemansburg.

Survivors: In addition to her husband Robert. she is survived by her sons, Michael Shannon and his wife Mirinda of Bethlehem Twp.; Robert A. Wachter Jr., and his fiance, Tyishe Sanderson of Bethlehem Twp.; brothers, Raymond, Edwin "Eddie", James, Frederick "Peter" and sisters, Ruth, Florence and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Russell "Fats"; George, Harry, Jake, Robert; and sisters, June and Catherine. Mae, was the youngest of the 14 children.

Services: At Mae's request, graveside services will be private. A public celebration of her life is being planed for after the July 4th holiday. Arrangements are entrusted to the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St. Bethlehem, PA. Offer condolences at www.jamesfuneralhome.org
