Obituary for Maryann M. Newhard (Dill)

Maryann M.  Newhard (Dill)
Maryann M. Newhard, 78, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Henry T. Newhard, Jr., who passed away in 1991. In 2001, she married Donald Dill and together they lived at Westminster Village in East Allentown, where they care for each other. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. Jr. and Anna (Rabanold) Moyer. She graduated from Mary Washington College in 1958 and later attended the Medical Technologist Course at Allentown Hospital, graduating in 1958. During her life she was active in many organizations throughout the Lehigh Valley. Some of the organizations included, past director of the Lehigh Valley Agricultural Society in 1991; Board Member of the Bethlehem Women's Club 1992-96; Past Royal Matron of Dorothy Lynn Memorial Court #110 of Amaranth and was also a charter member for Court 148.. Most important to her was her family and especially her children and grandchildren. She was a former member of Cathedral Church of the Nativity and in more recent years was an active member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Allentown.

Survivors: In addition to her husband Donald, she is survived by her son, H. Thomas Newhard, III of Tamaqua; daughter, Melody A. Newhard-Kirk and her husband Brian of Wind Gap,; stepson, Edward Dill; stepdaughter Nancy Walck; 2 granddaughters, Kayla Hager-Wilson, Kaitlin Newhard and 5 stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Moyer, III, in 2013.

Services: Viewing will be on Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:15 a.m. in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center Street, Bethlehem, followed by a Requiem Eucharist at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul's Anglican Church, 2510 Livingston Street, Allentown. Burial will be in St. John's Union (Mickley's) Cemetery.
