Obituary for Michael "Mike" Jacobs
C. Michael Jacobs, 70, of Bethlehem, died, Thursday, June 19, 2014, in Masconic Village, Elizabethtown, PA. Born in Buffalo, NY, He was a son of the late William F. Jacobs, Sr. and the late Norma (Brophy) Jacobs-Brug and Stepson of Norman Brug of Seneca, NY. He served in the US Navy during Viet Nam and later entered the Allentown Police Academy graduating in 1974. He served on the Bethlehem Police Force, for many years until retiring after becoming disabled due to a stroke. He then served as a State Registrar working from his home until retiring in 2007. He was a 32nd degree member of Bethlehem Lodge F & AM and was a member of Christ Church UCC.
Survivors: He is survived by his brothers,Peter and David; stepfather, Norman Brug and many friends especially Judith Hinkle, who assisted in his care. He was preceded in death by brother William Jacobs, Jr..
Services: Viewing, Monday, June 23, 2104, from 10-11:00 A.M. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. in James Funeral Home & Cremation Service PC, 527 Center Street, Bethlehem. Burial will be in Orchard Park, NY. Online condolences may be left at www.jamesfuneralhome.org
